21 Years of the Hopewell/Huber books – Part 5

Recap. As described in earlier parts, we had established a significant volume of works on astrological psychology, by the Hubers, by ourselves and by various graduates of the English and German Huber schools. But the English Huber School was coming to a critical point, where it could no longer support students.

The Book of the Diploma Course

When the decision was taken, in 2017, to close down the English Huber School, we edited the Diploma Course into a new A4 book, with full colour. Thus, the course became available to purchasers of the book. And various tutors and consultants continue to offer services to support students.

The Huber Biography

In collaboration with many Diploma Course students and members of our German and Spanish sister organisations (IFAP through Harald Zittlau and Spanish Huber School through Rosa Sole) Joyce and I undertook a major piece of work to produce a biography of the Hubers and history of their schools This was published in 2020 under the title Piercing the Eggshell: The Hubers and their Astrological Psychology.

Our European friends kindly translated and published this work

• in German, titled Durchbruch zu geistigen Horizonten: Astrologische Psychologie und der Lebensweg ihrer Brugrunder Bruno & Louise Huber
• and in Spanish, as Los Huber: Trayectoria vital de los creadores de la psichologie astrologica.

The Second Time Around

Another significant piece of joint research involved collating the experiences of further Huber School friends in UK and Europe, relating the significance of the Age Progression in their charts, particularly after the age of 70. This led to the publication in 2023 of The Second Time Around: Renewal after Age 70+, an astrological perspective.

A Spanish edition was soon published as La Segunda Vuelta.

Reflection

We now have 20 books and 6 ebooks available in English. Both Joyce and I are now in our eighties, so whither now? We will be in touch with possibly interested parties to discuss how they might be involved in keeping these works available to the new students that the Huber magnetism still seems to draw.
