“Astrological psychology has changed my life, it helped me know myself better, be kinder to myself and to be more accepting of the cycles in my life, the ebb and flow of energies. It has also helped hugely in my relationships, especially with my partner and my children. ”

Marcel Proust. Remembrance of Things Planetary
The upside down Kite figure in the chart looks more like a sailing ship with the Saturn/North Node opposition forming its mast. The Small Talent Triangle is the ship and the Large Talent Triangle the sails. But the inner resources from all the blue aspects didn’t make writing plain sailing for Marcel Proust, one of Read more

Dreams and Age Progression Research
I have been enthusiastic about aspect pattern astrology but what really struck me was the relationship between the Age Point Progression and developmental crises and opportunities and their correlation with dreams. In my book Dreams and Astrological Psychology I highlighted the fact that at certain points I had significant dreams that corresponded with the Age Read more

Good leaders are scarce, so I’m following my Self*
There’s an insidious creeping nastiness in the air following the result of the US election. You could argue that it was there before, as a dominant feature throughout the presidential campaign. Now we know the result we (i.e. the world) have to get on with it, protests or not, intentions to leave the country or Read more

With the presidential election almost upon us, Pamela Tyler takes another look at the chart of contender Donald Trump. Caveat readers, Insofar as Donald Trump literally gives me night mares, I have adopted this artificial structure for reviewing his horoscope in the hopes of preserving some objectivity in its analysis. Fish Can’t Climb Trees
The premise of Helyn Connerr’s Mercury Model™ is that everyone’s brain is wired differently and we can discover more about ‘our unique mental make-up’, by evaluating how ‘we each experience the mythic theme of the ancient god Mercury’. Her book Fish Can’t Climb Trees is her most recent exposition of this model. Its title, taken Read more

The Tyranny of Aesthetics
I never knew, in my twenties, why I felt compelled to move from one flat to another, seldom staying anywhere longer than six months. Six months of fixity seemed to be all I could handle. I’d paint the walls, lengthen or shorten the curtains I had used in the previous flat, adding a frill or Read more

Be Fearless
If you are a graduate of APA or an advanced diploma student of APA, studying astrological psychology, maybe using it with others for practise and almost certainly applying it to yourself, you may find yourself being asked to talk about it. Talking about it informally will (in my experience) certainly arouse interest and possibly a Read more

The Ego as Threefold Personality
This look at the three Personality or Ego Planets is from Bruno Huber’s book ‘Astrological Psychosynthesis’, first published in German in 1981. In all of us the ego will experience itself in three different modes, on three levels, in the threefold personality structure. We have a physical, corporeal self, an emotional, feeling self, and a Read more

Confessions of an American Huber Astrological Psychologist
The transcendent planetary influences of Uranus and Pluto can have a collective effect on us , pushing the archetypal energies they represent, clashing like ignorant armies in the night. They are square in Capricorn and Aries; challenging our basic needs for action on the national stage as we look to politicians who like the rest Read more
