The Zeitgeist and the Outer Planets

Mundane astrology is not normally the subject of this blog, which usually focusses on the Huber Method of astrological psychology. In fact, Bruno Huber himself was interested in all aspects of astrology, and I’m sure he would have taken particular interest in the major transitions that are currently in process, related to the positioning in the zodiac of the Outer or Transpersonal Planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

Current Sign Transitions

I used ChatGPT to help in summarising the position (confirmed by checking the Ephemeris):

• Neptune moves from Pisces to Aries March 30 2025 and then again January 26 2026 (multiple dates are caused by retrograde movement of the planet back to previous sign).
• Uranus moves from Taurus to Gemini on July 7 2025 and April 25/26 2026.
• Pluto moves from Capricorn into Aquarius March 23 2023, Jan 20 2024 and November 19 2024.

Summarising from a number of relevant sources (Mundane Astrology, Archetypal Astrology (Tarnas etc), Generational Astrology, Barbault’s theory of historical cycles, Huber Astrology, Esoteric Astrology (Alice Bailey), Historical-Correlational theories (Toffler, Kondratiev etc)), ChatGPT suggests that these theories generally agree on the following:

1. Outer planets drive collective dynamics, not personal ones.
2. Sign changes mark qualitative shifts in how these forces operate.
3. Ingress periods are turbulent or transitional, especially when:

5. Volatility: a crisis-window coinciding with the ingress / retrogrades
   These 18-24 months are often bumpy in mundane-astrology histories.
6. New myths, new technologies, new collective narratives
   The “story humanity tells about itself” changes.

New Zeitgeist

Now I think most of us are aware that our world is in a period of change and turmoil, like the dice have been thrown up in the air, and we wait breathlessly to see how they will come down. The astrology suggests that something fundamental is going on, and we are entering a new historical era, where the zeitgeist will be completely different.

The optimist in me would like to see a new global harmony, a new focus on sharing the earth’s resources, on solving its problems such as pollution, mass extinctions, and global warming, new forms of multi-level democracy, rather than the autocracy of crazy egos and their manipulation of the masses. Of course, this cannot happen without transformation of us as individuals. Astrological Psychology is just one tool that could help this along.

Of course, the lens through which I am looking is still in the ‘old’ zeitgeist. Maybe things will be completely different!
