It is nearly 1 year since the Astrological Psychology Association closed its books and ceased trading. What is now the state of Huber Astrology (or Astrological Psychology) in the English-speaking world in these times of increasingly turbulent change?
The inspirational effect of meeting Bruno & Louise Huber directly has long since subsided. Their last seminar together in English was in 1998 in Devon (Astrology and the Seven Rays), nearly 25 years ago.. Both have since died. As most readers will be aware, courses continued to be run in English by APA until they became unsustainable. The spirit of the times is changing.
On the positive side, the teachings remain available in books, thanks to the publisher HopeWell, and these continue to sell reasonably well both sides of the Atlantic. We also still maintain this website with a large amount of reference material, this blog and the @astpsy Twitter stream, with tutoring and consultancy still on offer to those interested.
We provide this resource to promote the books and for the benefit of the astrological psychology community – that’s you and like-minded friends. Please help us to keep it (and your astrological psychology) alive by contributing items for the blog with your own insights, news, reviews and stories.
We’ve been sorry to hear from Harald Zittlau in Frankfurt that, due to ill health, Bruno Landolt has had to relinquish his long-time post as editor of Astrolog magazine, which many of you will be familiar with. Harald has taken over as editor, but the long-term future of Astrolog is in doubt. Good news is that the German remote course is in the process of being translated into English, so hopefully a modern online system of teaching astrological psychology should become available in the not-too-distant future.
It just remains for us both to wish you a very Happy New Year!

Thank you, Barry, for the update on news of the astrological psychology community. I have recently been enjoying online workshops in English language by Juan Saba and Cristina Crawford from Argentina. The first two workshops have been on the subjects of Age Progression and the Family Model. It is hugely satisfying to learn from Juan with others from the UK, Canada and Argentina. After the technical teaching, a large part of the workshop is dedicated to working with individual charts. There are further workshops planned by Juan and Cristina and I highly recommend them to anyone interested in an interactive teaching setting. Cristina can be contacted on astro.criscraw@gmail.com
Thanks for that, Caroline. Maybe others would be interested in these workshops you mention. Maybe you could suggest to Christina that we’ll be happy to publicise any further events on this website if she sends details.
Thank you, Barry. I have forwarded your message to Cristina. Best wishes xx
