We are sorry to hear that Michael A. Huber passed away in Switzerland on Thursday 27th July 2023. Michael was the only son of Bruno and Louise Huber, founders of the ‘Huber Method’ of astrological psychology and the Astrological Psychology Institute (API) in Zurich.
Michael was born in 1955 and lived his childhood years while Bruno and Louise were exploring astrology and psychology and developing their ideas, coming to fruition in establishment of the API in 1968.
We recall Michael as a gentle presence in the background of Huber seminars in their home at Adlliswil. He was particularly involved in the publication of the complete set of German-language versions of the Hubers’ books and was listed as a co-author of the popular book Aspect Pattern Astrology.
After Bruno died in 1999, Michael stepped into Bruno’s shoes and helped Louise to keep the API teaching programme going for nearly ten more years. He joined with Louise in giving seminars in Switzerland, England and Spain. His annual visits to the Spanish Huber School were particularly popular.
As well as propagating the teachings of Bruno and Louise, Michael also spoke on results of his own astrological researches and innovations, notably the ‘soul chart’, but these were not widely adopted by others.
Michael died after a period of illness with lung cancer, at a similar age to his father Bruno.
